Doctor Who Season 8 doesn’t premiere until August 23, but BBC wants to make certain that fans don’t get spoiled by other fans.
BBC Worldwide has issued a press release asking fans not to spoil the new season after scripts for five episodes hit the web. The leak came from the network’s Latin American branch, which is something we didn’t even know BBC had, but apparently even Latin Americans have need of good British telly. Apparently, the scripts leaked after being sent for translation.

BBC Worldwide is currently investigating a security issue around Doctor Who Series 8 where unfinished material has inadvertently been made public. We deeply regret this and apologise to all the show’s fans, the BBC and the cast and crew who have worked tirelessly making the series.
We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches. We know only too well that Doctor Who fans are the best in the world and we thank them for their help with this and their continued loyalty.
I have to admit that I didn’t even know about the script leak until this press release, which prompts me to wonder how many others will now seek the scripts out after reading this. Either way, if you read a script, don’t tell me anything! I’m waiting for the 23rd. And comforting myself with the first official teaser, along with the second, Dalek-infused teaser embedded below.
